WWGC Youth Leadership partnered Irma Rangel Girls Academy in Dallas and with Asia Initiatives in NY to deliver yet another project focusing on STEM careers and knowledge. The youth leaders through their leadership skills in the program generated large scale events and collaborated and built technology, literacy resource centers, and peer mentorship for the Development Centre in Ahmedabad, India.

The objective was to implement sustainable changes in the areas of women’s self-help groups, basic computer skills, learning to use technology to their advantage and sharing it with other village communities who do not have access in order to build social capital and create ongoing impact. This initiative also involved community leaders, healthcare workshops, and girls mentoring their peers. The establishment of the Kadam Resource Center for Girls (KRCG) has provided a safe environment for young girls to learn about socially taboo topics and gain access to technology by taking advantage of the computer lab built by WWGC Youth Leadership Program. The girls who attend these workshops at the KRCG then spread this information to other girls in their surrounding communities, creating scalability, impact and promoting the widespread knowledge of opportunities for female advancement in society.

WWGC provided more than 60.000 books by engaging in a two-year book drive partnering with local libraries and schools in order to establish literacy centers in Dallas and in Pakistan. This effort reached out and distributed books to 31 schools and child development centers including few shelter homes.
